Served as Trust Manager with full claims authority for California Physicians and Surgeons Insurance Company, Louisiana Southern and Colony Charter. Group manager of the West Coast Region for West Coast Life Insurance Company and provided health underwriting for Pacific Mutual.

Served as a member of the Senate Select Committee, was one of 12 people representing the life, health, casualty insurance industry, assisting the state regulators in drafting, reviewing and proposing changes to pending legislation. Member of the Senate Select Committee for small business enterprises reviewed the problems of small business for the state of California and recommended action and legislation within the development and preservation of entrepreneurial activities within the state.

Served as a member of the Medical Administrators of California "MAC". Membership was limited to administrators of hospitals and medical facilities with 20 or more managed physicians. Ms. Henderson served on four Political Action Committees "PACs" to promote proactive health legislation and conducted interviews to determine MAC's affiliations in supporting legislators.

Head of the management team that developed and processed applications for the licensures of Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) in the State of California under the Knox Keene Act of 1974. Elected Chairman of the Creditors Committee to represent creditors in actions for the collection of over $2 million owed to physicians and hospitals from a California HMO which had filed bankruptcy.

Developed format for per diem contracting of nursing and infusion therapy as adopted by Blue Cross Prudent Buyer Plan.

Developed and supervised cost containment programs for the insurance industry including a one-year pilot project for prescription card services for Blue Cross of California.

Instrumental in the development and management of a nationwide pharmacy network.
